I am very pleased with my new Samsung F90 Black Camcorder with 2.7" LCD Screen and HD Video Recording.

I did not want a camcorder capable of producing the next STAR WARS movie. I just wanted an ordinary easy-to-use camcorder strictly for home video.

After a great deal of investigation, I chose this one - and I'm glad I did. It's inexpensive, very easy to use, and does exactly what I want from a camcorder.

I have filmed scenes from our latest vacation including scenes of the convention we attended as well as some museums we visited and I have taken videos of our granddaughter (who never seems to sit still!).

All of my videos so far have come out perfectly, even those taken under low-light. In fact, I took some video in a restaurant (which featured some entertainment) and, even though the lighting was mixed - relatively low artificial light supplemented by early evening daylight coming through windows in certain places - the video turned out fine.

I have had only rare minimal problems with focus and those under relatively difficult situations. The focus has always corrected itself in a second or two without any effort on my part; I'm sure that most people won't even notice those occasional lapses. Colors are balanced and excellent. Sharpness is also excellent. Ease of use of the camcorder is exemplary.

If you are looking for the best picture quality for the buck, you have found it. Samsung put the money where it matters most and if you don't care about 3D or a bunch of inputs this is a great buy. This is the hands down winner for a Back Lit LED TV at this price point.

Pros:
Great Picture quality (with a few adjustments, see below)
Really good Sound Quality. Better than most.
Matte Screen (not Glossy), so low reflections in bright rooms
Full Array LED backlighting (versus "Edge lit" Fluorescent as most LCD's have)
Great styling. The angled corners on the bottom, the large base and thin bezel all come together to give it a sophisticated look.

Cons:
Stock picture settings. Picture is a bit soft and washed out with the stock configuration. You need to adjust the settings to get it to really shine to it's full potential.

I used the Display Mate DVD to professionally calibrate the screen and I used those settings as a starting point. My personal preference is for a bit more "pop" and a sharper picture and I think I've come up with the ideal settings for this particular TV. I listed all the "Default" settings, the "Display Mate Calibration DVD" Settings, and my Personal Settings below. Hope that helps you find the settings that work best for you.

Not too long ago, I lost the remote to my television. So I copied down the model and hit Amazon for a replacement. I found what appears to be a direct (after market?) replacement. It functions just like my old remote. The only difference between the OEM remote and this replacement is the finish. The original remote has a slick, glossy finish and the new remote has a slightly textured, matte finish. It worked beautifully without any programming! Great product! My TV's model# LN46B550K1FXZA

If you're anything like me you see that this TV is labeled as LED; then you look at the picture and see a lot of fat for the usual Samsung LED depth. Make no mistake this is an LED TV. I got this for my bedroom to replace my 23 inch Samsung Syncmaster. I use this TV mostly for 1080 mp4 movies and blurays (I download what I want to watch instead of waiting for it on cable), and my Xbox and PS3.

I learned 2 things about the TV right off the bat. If you have Comcast, you cannot fully customize the TV's picture. An essential feature called HDMI black levels actually looks much better when its set to low. I have 2 different Comcast HD boxes and since neither of them broadcast at 1080, this feature is locked out. Long story short, Comcast had me thinking I purchased my first dud from Samsung. Seriously, the colors look washed out and none of the channels really had that crisp clear picture I was hoping for. If you plan to use this solely for Comcast, I can't really recommend it. In fact, I've always found blu ray quality to be so much better than cable that I've stopped using cable for anything but football and cartoons. Movies MUST be in my PS3's blu ray player or my own 1080p files.

The second thing I learned about is what the depth is for. Samsung didn't advertise this (or maybe its just my TV), but I have absolutely NO BACKLIGHT BLEED. When Black Ops goes to the loading screen on my Xbox, it gets so dark that I think the TV is off! The only indication that it is on is the Black Ops logo in the corner spinning. There isn't even the SLIGHTEST inkling of white anywhere! I'm not exaggerating. The obvious second reason why this TV is fat for an LED is that Samsung made an effort to improve the sound.

It would seem that there are a couple of different screens for the Samsung Chromebook, so, before ordering this one, *gently* remove the frame around your Chromebook (for tips, search "replacing chromebook screen") and verify that your screen looks like this one (it has two tabs on each side, one near the top and one near the bottom, each of which has two holes but with a screw in only one of those two holes). If so, this is the screen you want.

I did the entire replacement with a small butter knife (to help gently pry off the screen frame, mainly because I was checking in the kitchen prior to ordering), a small Phillips screwdriver, and a box-cutter knife (any small, flat tool will do - it's used to disconnect the old screen by prying up a part of the attachment), and it only took a few minutes. Again, search for replacement tips - there's a popular video that will show you all you need to know.

The screen fit perfectly, so previous issues with hole placement have apparently been fixed. It's a bit tricky reattaching the display connector, so I'd recommend attaching it, screwing in at least a screw or two, and verifying that it works by powering up the system before snapping the frame back on.

The screen is no better or worse than the original, and it's a lot cheaper than buying a new one.

The screen was well packaged by the vendor, original Vivo box inside Amazon box. The Samsung chromebook was designed to easy screen replacement or swapping as the screen is module-ized as one piece. There are plenty of how-to replace videos on the web for this Chromebook model.

I replace the screen to my chromebook in less than 5 minutes. Turn off chromebook; snap the screen plastic border panel out by hand, unscrew 4 screws, unhinge the metal connector lock handle then pull connector out, take out the broken screen assembly; position the new screen assembly, connect the connector to it, snap the metal connector lock handle down to lock, place the screen assembly back to its place, screw in 4 screws, snap the screen plastic border panel back in; spend 1 minute to inspect the work then turn on the chromebook; done.

I ordered this Vivotechnology screen from Amazon and the screen fits exactly everywhere including the screw holes. I was concerned about this because some of the earlier reviewers mentioned that the screw holes of their ordered screens did not match the chromebook case. But I did not see that, everything fits perfectly as the original.

Short version: A "TV" is a container for its panel, with some additional features (such as speakers). Buying a TV with a different panel, even if it's the "same TV," is buying a different TV. Samsung seems to think we don't care - and many consumers may not. Most buyers may compare their new TV to an old one that isn't even full HD or to a typical* computer monitor, so any panel will look great, even if it costs more than it should due to (arguably) deceptive practices. In my experience, my TV seems to have the deficits listed for its panel - subpar viewing angles, especially with dark colors.

*TN panel or a CRT, as opposed to IPS or anything with better viewing angles, color, etc.

FULL:
Many of these TVs don't have a Samsung panel (the screen/the part that has/makes the image!)! I cannot believe this has not been mentioned. It makes a SUBSTANTIAL difference, because some panels they use should be in TV's that cost $100 less.

Can you imagine buying a car because you know its manufacturer uses great, reliable engines, only to find out that they use completely different engines without telling you, all of which are of lower quality? Samsung does this with their TVs, and some of them don't EVER have Samsung panels (e.g., the 37" model will NEVER have a Samsung panel because they don't make 37" panels).

This is a really sweet Samsung HDTV for the price. The first one I bought at Walmart for $298 was on Sept. 4th. That one had some LED backlight bleed on the bottom center of it. Like a white cloud around 4 or 5 inches long. So I took it back and returned it and went to another Walmart to purchase another one. No noticeable backlight bleed on this one.

I remember reading that there is no noticeable difference between a 1080P vs. 720P with HDTV's under 40". I found this to be true with a 32" HDTV. It honestly looks like a 1080P HDTV. So save your money unless you want a SMART 32" HDTV.

I always grew up being a Sony fan. But Samsung has the best picture quality on the market today. You can see that when you checkout the displays at the stores. Was first considering a Vizio, but they are hit and miss with the user reviews. To me it was worth paying an extra $60 for a Samsung that gets much more consistent good user reviews.

The blacks are a deep black and the colors are truly brilliant. The sound is very good on it. No need to hook-up external speakers to it. Love the thin bezel on it as well. I use this 32" for my medium size bedroom. Bigger is better, but anything bigger than this would be overwhelming.

I would recommend doing what I did and go with SquareTrade on the warranty. They advertize a 3 year parts and labor warranty for $33. Make sure you call them instead of doing it online. When I called the Rep he offered me a 4 year warranty for $3 more. You can't beat a $36 4 year warranty. And SquareTrade has great user reviews.
